Three times a year we host an inspiration session for participants in our community-circles, usually at our Service Station in Hilversum. We then grab a specific theme and approach that theme from the specific field of that particular circle (Business, Leadership or HR).

In recent months, the theme 'The tyranny of the now' is central to our three communities. A theme that deals with the struggle of being busy with the long term on the one hand and being stuck in the delusion of the day on the other. On the one hand, organizations want to make impact in the long term and, at the same time, more and more issues are given the status of urgency and priority or, if necessary, the label 'crisis', leaving hardly any room for the long term.

What about that exactly, how do you deal with that struggle of the now and what can we learn from each other in that regard? That's what the sessions in the community circles were about. In this video we would like to take you through what ideas and insights that produced.

Impact of trust

In the fall, the theme of the community meetings is "Impact of Trust. At October 6 Leadership Circle is about trust as an engine for achieving ambitions and remaining credible, as an organization, as a brand and as a leader. At October 13 is "trust as a key element of balance," is the focus of the Business Circle. As a brand, an organization or a leader, how do you ensure that people trust your promises and intentions? We close this theme on Oct. 27 off during the meeting with the People Circle and then reflect on trust as an important element of balance in your organization and the role you take as an HR professional.
