'How do you guys always come up with all these inspiring places, cases and practical examples and how do you keep up with it?' I get that question frequently when I have a Futurise®-presentation. The answer is not complicated: we work intensively with experts in the key regions of the world (we call them 'connectors') and that way we have access to an awful lot of local networks. Every month we see and talk to each other online to share the latest trends and initiatives. And so from that come great stories that we share with our clients in different ways, such as in presentations, during workshops and in articles and reports.
Theory and practice
The Futurise®-trend model combines more than 30 years of scientific research on social behavior with day-to-day practice. The best of both worlds, in fact. The model enables us to make very sound statements and predictions about the future based on well-founded theory. At the same time challenge we continuously compare that with practice. How do trends manifest themselves in different countries, cities and cultures? What innovations does it lead to? What challenges does it bring? Our connectors are thus our eyes and ears in society.
Monthly publications
The connectors come from all over the world: from Cape Town to Helsinki and from Beijing to Panama City. Every third Thursday of the month we meet online. We then explore and deepen a specific development. We introduce that from the zeitgeist, describe and interpret the development using Futurise® and the connectors then help us with cases and examples of initiatives in their neighborhood. From it all, we make a report and publish it in all our networks. For example, the upcoming report is about the shifts of norms and values and their implications for business. Curious? Then keep checking our newsletter and our socials keep an eye out; we'll notify you as soon as the publications are online!
Trend Report
Together with the connectors we also like to do extensive research for clients. We process that into a comprehensive trend report, specifically focused on the businesscustomer questions and challenges. What are the most important food trends for the coming years? Or how does the zeitgeist affect health (care)? What changes in retail should we definitely follow in order to remain future-proof? And what will cities look like in the future, what does that mean for mobility, for example, and what does that require from policymakers?
Lectures and workshops
The knowledge and inspiration from Futurise® and the Connectors Network we also deploy during lectures and workshops. Starting from the zeitgeist, we get to work on an organizational, business or marketing issue. In a relatively short time, you and your team arrive at concrete new insights and ideas. This working method is also excellent for revising existing plans (annual, action and policy plans). challenge, sharpen and enrich.
