OXYGEN for Leaders - Module II: Personal Effectiveness and Grip

Getting started with mind-blowing applicable knowledge about the brain and psych. A module that deals with the basics of leadership: understanding how human behavior works and how to take good/better care of yourself as a leader. High performance and the art of switching back to practice and rest: familiar concepts from the world of elite athletes, professional musicians and other high performance professions.

Vitality, humanization and personal effectiveness

The postwar period brought a tremendous acceleration of prosperity and progress in all kinds of fields. In the 1960s it was thought that boredom would become man's biggest problem in the 21st century. Work would have been taken over by now by machines (automation) and robots. Nothing could be further from the truth it now appears: our well-being and psychological well-being are under pressure. Excessively busy lives, too many stimuli, too many choices and too high expectations cause us chronic stress and cause illness, depression and absenteeism. For example, the Netherlands has about 1.3 million people with burnout complaints (17% of employees, 1 in 6); costs 3.1 billion annually (Source: TNO and CBS). The use of medical devices such as antidepressants, painkillers and sleeping pills increases every year.

In all our zeal and drive for efficiency, we have apparently lost sight of some important things.

It is our belief that this development, which still leads to mental weakening and exhaustion, calls for new insights and a different way of working and living. We call that humanization. A movement that has begun with purpose thinking and the meaning economy. But that is only a first step.

What we will do and what it will bring you

In this module we will work with the latest insights on vitality, our brain and psychological well-being. Not only from a personal perspective and development - control over your own life and well-being - but also in the context of the organization and society.

Working together with scientists, professionals and enthusiastic experts by experience. With an eye for balance between insight/knowledge and experiencing/applying/using for yourself. We involve people from various disciplines to talk with them and learn from them: (neuro-)scientists, top sports world and positive psychology.

From solid insights around positive health to the latest on heart-brain; the connection/collaboration between our heart and brain. Of course, this module is also nicely experiential, so that you have not only added to your knowledge about vitality and your brain, but also experienced it.

General program

We meet in the evening and during two days that follow we take you through an experiential program. On day 3 we will work with the insights gained with the goal of translating them to your own reality (your organization and your personal development).

Learning formats: LUNAR's learning and development methodology and style is active, experiential, in-depth and goal-oriented. So not merely cognitively absorbing knowledge in classes, but a rich and varied blend of experiencing, engaging in conversation, in-depth workshops and translation to your own context (your own organization) and your personal development. You come to unexpected places and meet extraordinary professionals and entrepreneurs. Learning and developing yourself is a great adventure! After all, you don't know (yet) what you don't know!
