About Philadelpia

Philadelphia offers more than 9,800 clients every day opportunities to live their own lives. They live with them, receive intensive care or outpatient supervision, come to fit their day or to stay. Philadelphia supports when necessary and dares to let go when it can. Over 7,400 employees give clients the confidence to grow. At Philadelphia, people get the best out of each other.

Challenge

How can we, from Philadelphia's existing direction (course): 'the best of you', with fewer people, fewer resources (money and people) enable the same services, while fighting loneliness, with more attention to the client. And specifically: what role does human-centered technology play in this? It is then 2015.

Approach

In 2011, the then Board of Directors set out to develop a multi-year policy plan: a clear vision of future developments and expected changes (in healthcare, client and staff needs, stakeholder requirements and interests). We then developed their forward-looking role and direction (focus, point on the horizon), including strategic priorities. For more than 10 years, we used creativity and imagination to develop the organization based on our Futurise®-trend model periodically takes in the future and determines strategic direction from there.
