About Terwille
"Every human being is destined to be free. Terwille provides basic and specialized care for addiction and has an exit program for women working in prostitution. Approximately 120 professionals and 95 volunteers work at Terwille, spread across different locations in the Netherlands. They provide expert routes to recovery from connectedness with people and encourage people to live permanently healthy lives. The emphasis in their treatment and counseling is on self-direction; together with people, they look at what they need to achieve recovery.
Challenge
Terwille has a strong and distinct identity. They operate from: 'Every person is destined to be free', working from a Christian identity. At the time, they had four core values. Terwille wanted to take a recalibration moment to discover what, according to all colleagues, is the DNA of Terwille and what values fit best with that. Values that give Terwille's colleagues and volunteers direction and direction around mentality and behavior. Together we (re)discovered what Terwille's DNA is, which values fit it and how you can contribute and flourish from your talent and these values.
Approach
With a construction team from the organization, and based on conversations with colleagues, we jointly arrived at essential themes, now and in the future, that belong to Terwille's DNA. What should not be missing and where do we want to go.
From guts and love, person to person, together towards perspective. These values emerged from the DNA (re)discovery. At the employee day, all employees discussed these values in order to discover what they require of them in behavior (now and in the future, including behavior that is not yet there).
Result
Flourishing and contributing from your talent and the values. The team members have deepened their own talent and connected it to the vision and values of Terwille and have determined how they want to contribute to this from everyone's unique strengths. They have discovered how they contribute to the values through behavior.
