motion

was given a name

Meaningful coexistence begins with a different way of looking at things. Cosis felt that the time was right to enrich its existing strategy with a story that fits the world of today and tomorrow—a story that touches people, provides direction, and creates momentum. That momentum was given a name: Living Together in a Meaningful Way. A vision that shows that every person matters and deserves the opportunity to participate in a way that suits him or her.

a space for everyone's voice

Together with employees from across the organization, we explored current issues in society and identified trends that call for a fresh perspective on care and support. We brought together different perspectives, connected colleagues from all levels of the organization, and created space for everyone’s voice to be heard. Even employees who are typically less likely to participate in strategy development were able to share their ideas, experiences, and dreams through a chatbot.

Slowly, a shared narrative began to take shape. A narrative rooted in possibilities, talents, and personal agency. The movement of ‘We'll take care of you‘ to ‘You can do it‘ became the central theme. With it came a broader ambition. When people can draw on their own strengths and combine them with those of others, a society emerges in which everyone matters and can participate as a matter of course.

What made this journey special wasn’t a single decisive moment, but the collaborative process itself. During the inspiration and imagination sessions, the realization gradually grew that a strategy only truly gains power when people see themselves reflected in it. In this way, “Valuable Coexistence” became much more than a vision statement. It became a movement that charts the course for Cosis’s future and invites us to choose trust, possibilities, and connection anew every day.

Living Together in a Meaningful Way

Cosis is a healthcare organization with approximately 5,500 to 6,000 employees. Together, they support people with intellectual or mental disabilities so they can live as independently as possible. Through their “Valuable Coexistence” strategy, they are building a future in which everyone has the opportunity to participate and make a meaningful contribution.
